Acceptable Use Policy

To keep Voltpay safe and compliant, certain businesses and activities are restricted or prohibited. Please review this Policy before you start processing.

1.Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities and businesses that are restricted or prohibited on Voltpay. It exists to keep our platform safe, comply with card-network rules and law, and protect cardholders. It supplements our Terms of Service.

2.Prohibited activities

You may not use the Services to:

  • Engage in or facilitate illegal activity, fraud, or deceptive practices.
  • Process payments that are unauthorized, misrepresented, or do not reflect a bona fide sale of goods or services.
  • Launder money, finance terrorism, or evade sanctions.
  • Infringe intellectual-property rights or violate the privacy or rights of others.
  • Circumvent card-network rules, our risk controls, or applicable law.
  • Process payments on behalf of an undisclosed third party (transaction laundering).

3.Prohibited businesses

We do not support the following categories. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive:

  • Illegal drugs, controlled substances, and related paraphernalia.
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and certain regulated firearms components.
  • Counterfeit goods or unauthorized sale of branded products.
  • Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, and multi-level marketing of the prohibited kind.
  • Unlicensed gambling and games of chance.
  • Child sexual abuse material and any content that exploits minors.
  • Stolen financial or personal data, hacking tools, and credential resale.

4.Restricted businesses

The following may be supported with additional review, underwriting, or conditions. Contact us before going live:

  • Regulated financial services, money services businesses, and lending.
  • Cryptocurrency and digital-asset services.
  • Online pharmacies, nutraceuticals, and CBD where lawful.
  • Age-restricted goods such as alcohol, tobacco, and vaping products.
  • Adult content and services (where lawful).
  • Travel, ticketing, and other businesses with high chargeback or delivery risk.

5.Enforcement

If we believe you are violating this AUP, we may request information, apply additional controls, hold funds, suspend processing, or terminate your account. Serious violations may be reported to card networks, regulators, or law enforcement.

6.Questions and appeals

If you are unsure whether your business is supported, or wish to appeal a decision, contact supportvoltpay@gmail.com before processing. We review eligibility case by case.
